BICA,  Secretary  General and Vice-President of the Employers’ Group European Economic and Social Committee

Dr. Milena Angelova has been serving as Secretary-General of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association since 2002. She is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee since 2007 and EESC Employers’ Group Vice-President since 2010. She was elected CEEP Executive Vice-President in 2011, re-elected in 2014.  
As a member of the Employers’ Group of the EESC, Dr. Angelova has worked since 2007 as rapporteur, co-rapporteur and member of different bodies to defend the interests of business community regarding important topics such as corporate governance, capital market union, services of general interests promotion, red tape cutting, combating grey economy, etc. Elected as President of the EESC Permanent study group on Services of General Economic Interest for 2015 – 2018 mandate.
Dr. Angelova is a member of the Bulgarian Economic and Social Committee since 2006 and is well known as a person with active position in the decision – making processes in Bulgaria in all matters concerning business climate improvement because of her profound expertise in the field of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, administrative barriers cutting, and European funds management.
Before joining the BICA, Dr. Angelova has a record of ten years of excellent professional experience in large companies, as for example Bulgarian subsidiary of Italcementi Group, and she is senior research fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and was a lecturer in the Economic University in Varna. She has more than 30 scientific publications in the area of marketing and of corporate governance.
